I am a self-confessed product junkie. When I shop for skincare, makeup or any beauty products, I lose all sense of time and purpose. I love trying out new products and you can find out about my latest finds here. I have certain skincare products that I swear by and that have been in my basket for some time.
Ri na Mara – Deep cleansing replenishing facemask
I have used this face mask weekly for years and love the fact that it is made using seaweed from my hometown in Galway, Ireland. Organic hand-harvested, renewable seaweed is used to produce this completely natural face mask. The mask should be left on for about ten minutes before rinsing off. It’s packed with the benefits of seaweed, including vitamins A, B,C, D, and E. The product is also full of proteins, amino acids, and a rich collection of minerals; iron, calcium, and iodine. Rí na Mara cosmetics contain no harsh chemicals, Parabens, GMOs, or animal derivatives. I have only tried the face mask but there are a wide variety of products available online.
Clarins - Beauty flash balm
I have used Clarins Beauty Flash Balm for years. The product moisturizes, brightens and tightens. I alternate daily between using this product and a primer. I also use this product often as an overnight face mask by applying a thin layer and leaving on overnight. The balm gives a glow and rejuvenates tired skin. During the day, my makeup lasts longer using this balm as a base.
Garnier - Micellar cleansing water
This all-in-1 cleanser & makeup remover cleanses and removes makeup. No rinsing or harsh rubbing is required especially with mascara. The cleansing water can be used for face, lips, and eyes. There is also a sensitive version of the product. The product does not dry out my skin like some of the other cleansers I have tried in the past.
First Aid Beauty (FAB) - Ultra repair cream intense hydration
This product was my go-to product when I lived in Washington D.C. throughout the winter and many snow storms. The cream is useful as a moisturizer if your skin is feeling dry due to a change in weather or over exposure to air conditioning. Luckily, I escaped winter last year and will again this year in California, but I use the product after flying when my skin needs extra hydration. This skincare product can be used for both face and body.
Clinique - 7 day scrub cream
This scrub cream is one of my favorites. It is gentle enough to use 7 days a week to exfoliate, refine and help minimize the appearance of fine lines. I generally use every other day as part of my skincare routine and find it is frequent enough for my skin. Only a small amount is necessary so the product lasts.
Erborian - Bamboo water mask
I found this product over 2 years ago when Sephora launched their K beauty range and it has become a favorite overnight mask of mine. The mask leaves skin feeling smoothed, hydrated, and plumped with water. It also gives a boost to the skin immediately if your skin is looking tired or dehydrated and you want to use as a rinse off mask before going out and about. This product has a refreshing scent and is clear when applied.
Origins - GinZing refreshing eye cream
I use this product during the day to brighten under my eyes. I don’t suffer from puffiness but the cream also can be used to de-puff under eyes. The brighteners in the cream wakes up, refreshes and restores radiance to tired eyes which is always a blessing especially coming up to the festive social calendar!
Lancome – Bienfait multi-vital moisturizer
Day and night moisturizers are always products that I change up a lot and I like exploring new trends and products. One moisturizer that I always have in my beauty bag is the Lancome Bienfait Multi-Vital. The moisturizer is enriched with anti-oxidants and vitamins. The moisturizer also has SPF 30 which is important for me as I walk to work in the sunshine every day. I love the scent of this product and also the soft texture of the cream.
Hope these products keep you hydrated and looking fresh throughout the colder winter months. I’ll be back with some more favorite beauty products soon.
