For my birthday evening, I had the pleasure of spending glorious hours at Burke Williams day spa in San Francisco with two of my friends. Paradise, oasis and world-class are the perfect words for this new San Francisco find. This heavenly gem is tucked away in Westfield Shopping Centre and is open until 10pm every night which allows the perfect relaxing evening after work or at the weekend.
I am a spa lover and always make sure I fit in time for a girls’ spa trip regularly for about 10 years now. Burke Williams drew inspiration from European day spas when creating their day spas so this spa includes THE WORKS! The spa boasts 15 massage rooms, six facial rooms, four nail care chairs and the most fabulous relaxation area including a steam room, sauna, jacuzzi and a giant relaxation lounge.
Relaxation time before pamper time
My friends and I arrived at 5.30pm to relax before our treatments at 7pm and MY did we relax! We checked in at reception, walked through the lounge area and popped to the locker room to put our belongings away. We changed into the comfiest, plush bathrobes and slippers and got excited to do nothing for hours.
The spa has a Parisienne feel and has the most luxurious black and white décor. During our pamper time, we spent time relaxing in the steam room, the sauna and the Jacuzzi. It was the perfect way to relax prior to our treatments and I would highly recommend to arrive an hour before your treatment.
Your therapist collects you from the large lounge area which is absolutely beautiful! There are giant couches, beautiful flowers, the most peaceful piano music, products to try, teas, infused water, healthy snacks and magazines. This lounge would make the perfect Sunday afternoon!
I enjoyed the Pure Relaxation massage - 50 minutes of pure bliss. My therapist asked me what kind of pressure I would like and if there were any particular areas of focus. After that, it was candle light and spa music. The massage was amazing. The Pure Relaxation massage calms the mind and body while increasing circulation and promoting deep relaxation. I was floating leaving the therapy room. There is a wide variety of massage treatments available including deep tissue, Swedish, Shiatsu, Pregnancy and many enhancements that can be added such as aromatherapy oils, hot stones or a detox with Himalayan salt. I love a relaxing massage rather than a heavier pressure treatment so always opt for relaxation treatments.
After my treatment, I happily enjoyed the facilities for a little longer and also refreshed myself using some of the products available for testing (I am a product junkie!). The showers and changing areas are also beautiful and everything that you need is available including hair driers, straighteners, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hair styling products, mouth wash, cleanser, moisturizer and much more. There are also infused waters and the most delicious lemonade stations dotted around this luxurious location.
Other treatments & products
Burke Williams spa offers a huge variety of treatments so there is something for all. I personally love massages, facials and nail care which are all offered at the location. There are also other fabulous treatments noted in the brochures that I am eager to try such as the salt or sugar glo and hunters retreat. The spa also offers “transformative journeys” which are treat-your-self bundles of spa treatments (YES PLEASE!)
Products are dotted around the location and available for purchase. I am currently trying the H2V Triple C Serum and so far I am a happy camper. The scent is a treat!
Don’t fear if you don’t live in San Francisco, Burke Williams have 10 day spas across Northern and Southern California including San Francisco, San Jose, Woodland Hills, Santa Monica, Hollywood, Pasadena, Sherman Oaks, Torrance, Orange and Mission Viejo.
I highly recommend a pamper trip to this spa to unwind and relax. I realized I was doing Tuesday evenings all wrong when this gem is open until 10pm! It’s National Relaxation Month so it’s the perfect time to unwind and rejuvenate in a world class spa!
Thank you Burke Williams Spa for treating my friends and I to the most wonderful birthday evening and for spoiling us!
